Privacy notice
Effective October 27, 2026
HealthJeannie values your privacy. This notice explains how personal information is collected, used, and handled when you contact us through this website.
What we collect and why
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, chosen topic and message. We use this information to respond, arrange a requested call or consultation, provide guide payment and delivery arrangements, or send requested Zoom or resource-access details. Please provide only information needed for your enquiry; do not send medical records, identification documents, passwords, or payment-card details through the form.
Submitting an enquiry allows us to handle it for these stated purposes. It does not subscribe you to promotional emails. If we wish to use your information for a materially different purpose, we will explain that purpose and seek consent where required. You may contact Jean by telephone instead of using the form.
Service providers and sharing
The contact form sends your enquiry to Jean by email through the website’s hosting server. It does not use an external form-processing service. Delivered messages remain in the receiving email account according to the retention practices below. The form temporarily holds your enquiry in a server session for the security check; it does not create an enquiry database.
Website hosting, email delivery, and spam-protection providers may also process information necessary to operate and protect these services. We limit disclosure to what is needed for the stated purposes, with your consent, or as permitted or required by law. We do not sell enquiry information or give it to ASEA for marketing merely because you contact us.
Processing outside Canada
Service providers may process or store information outside Canada. Information processed in another country may be accessible to that country's courts, law-enforcement agencies, or other authorities under its laws. Contact Jean if you have questions about the providers involved in your enquiry or their processing arrangements. HealthJeannie remains responsible for personal information entrusted to providers acting on its behalf.
Enquiry replies
This website does not offer a promotional-email signup. Contacting Jean does not add you to a marketing mailing list. We use your contact details to respond to your enquiry and provide the information or services you request, including requested Zoom joining details.
Retention and protection
Our policy is to keep personal information only as long as necessary to respond to enquiries, provide requested services, maintain consent preferences, and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations. Relevant business or transaction records may need to be kept longer than a general enquiry. Information no longer needed is to be securely deleted or anonymized, subject to necessary backup and service-provider retention periods.
We are responsible for applying safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information and limiting access to those who need it for the purposes described here. This includes appropriate protection of the email account and devices used for enquiries. The website uses HTTPS; however, no internet transmission or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. The contact form is not intended for confidential health information.
Technical information, cookies, and links
The current website code does not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request times, and pages requested to deliver and secure the website. The contact form uses a temporary session cookie to complete a simple security check and help prevent spam.
Videos are linked rather than embedded. Following links to ASEA, Discover Redox, Vimeo, or other external websites takes you to services with their own collection practices and privacy notices. Your contact-form message is not automatically sent to those linked websites.
Testimonials
We seek permission before publishing identifiable testimonials or personal stories. Contact Jean if you wish to change or withdraw permission for a testimonial on this website. We can address material under our control, but cannot guarantee removal of copies previously saved or shared by others.
Your access, choices, and concerns
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, how it has been used or disclosed, request access or correction, withdraw consent, or request deletion where appropriate. Deletion and withdrawal may be subject to legal requirements or necessary recordkeeping, and may affect services that need the information. We may request enough information to verify your identity before releasing or changing records; please do not send identification documents unless a suitable method has been arranged.
We will respond to access requests within 30 days, subject to extensions or exceptions permitted by law, and explain any applicable limits. If you are dissatisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
